Anon, this is essentially what Occupy Wall Street is about, though google will probably provide you with a better answer. It’s about how the American economic system, run by people with all the wrong values, has fucked over the generation that is now trying to enter the job market and has left many people my age with worthless college degrees, debt beyond what they will ever even fathom being able to pay back, and little to look forward to except barely scraping by. It’s about how American politics are in the hands of corporations; the government bends to the whims of the small percentage of people with money. America is supposed to be a democratic system, the people are supposed to have a fighting chance to pave their own ways. But it’s becoming more and more difficult, thanks to corporations skewing the flow of money and skewing the idea of what constitutes a “fair compensation” for the amount of work (“WORK”) they do.
This is their statement of purpose, if you’re interested.
